1. To assign a static IP address to a
MediaZone Pro Player, you will first need to stop the
MediaZone Pro Player software. If you're unfamiliar with how to stop the player software, please refer to the
Stop & Start the MediaZone Pro Player Software article for further instructions.
2. From the desktop of the MediaZone Pro Player, right-click the Network icon and select Properties.
3. in the Network and Sharing Center, click on the link for the current Connection.
4. Within the Local Area Connection Status window, select Properties.
5. In the Local Area Connection Properties window, click on Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPv4) to select it.
6. With Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPv4) selected, click Properties.
7. In the Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPv4) Properties window, select the Use the following IP address radio button. DNS server addresses must also be provided when using a static IP address.
8. Click OK to save the changes in the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) Properties window.
9. Close the Local Area
Connections Properties window and select the Details… button in the Local Area Connection Status window to confirm the new IP address is being used.
Note: There are a myriad of IT methods that can be applied to truly complicate connections (such as
virtual private networks, host files, and aliasing). It is best to work cooperatively with the IT department
to ensure smooth operations
