Creating an Interactive Button Network

Creating an Interactive Button Network

Video on how-to

Step one: create zones and name them, eg, background, main menu, etc

step two: add desired main screen background first, then add subsequent screens that will be behind buttons directly in order

step three: add a button group widget to the main menu and double click to enter the button editing menu.

step four: add first button, the home button, where you will also toggle on “default”. This means that this button will return to your home screen, and be the first content your screen shows when booted on. Note: This will be the only button to have the “default” toggle on.

Step five: Repeat adding buttons as many times needed for the main menu buttons desired, being sure to name the buttons clearly and correctly and make style choices as desired. Note: to change the color(s) of the button, choose theme > custom > and adjust accordingly.

step six: in the button menu on the left toolbar, toggle open the menu for your first button, the home button. Ensure that the following toggles are checked: check mark, eye, and rewind, for each zone except for sub menu. Repeat this for each button.

step seven: in the middle of the button menu tools for your “background” section, you will see two arrows pointing toward each other. Click here and select which content section you would like to show when the button is chosen in both trim left media and trim right media. Repeat this process for each button. Note: if you are wanting to show multiple pieces of content within a button, choose the first piece of content for trim left media, and the last piece of content for trim right media.

step eight: add a button group widget to sub menu, and create the back button, naming the button clearly and correctly.

step nine: in the middle of the button menu tools for your “background” section underneath sub menu (button group 2, if you have not renamed it), you will see two arrows pointing toward each other. Click here and select which content section you would like to show as your home screen in which users will retreat back to when clicking “back”.

step ten: ensure that sub menu is toggled on with the check mark and off with the eye on the home screen, and toggled on with the checkmark and eye for every other button screen.

step eleven: press “preview”, ensuring to toggle on the cursor directly next to the play/stop icon so you will be able to click the buttons. test out your creation!
