Creating users in your Breeze server is an ideal way to differentiate which users have specific permissions within Breeze. This is ideal when you have multiple people utilizing the same server, and need to limit their access to certain functions, playlists, or files.
Creating a user in Breeze is simple. Log in to your Breeze server, and navigate to Users in the navigation toolbar. Then, you’ll choose “new user”. Next, you will fill in each of these fields. Create a username that is easy to remember, but secure. Enter their first and last name, email, and a secure password. Enable an email notification to let them know that their user account has been created. Next, select their permissions. For bare minimum, we recommend enabling editor, files tree, and scheduler. Additional permissions are great for specific needs. Then, you can adjust access restrictions, which is a solution if you want the new user to only have access to specific playlists, schedules, players, or file groups. Finally, click save to save your new user to your server.
If you need to delete a user in your Breeze server, you’ll follow a simple process. Navigate to users in your navigation toolbar, then click the user to highlight their username within the user tree. Once their username is highlighted, click the delete trashcan to remove the user, then confirm the removal.
